Give In To TEMPTationS

Truely A Place For A Mixture Of Asian Flavours

I attended an invite for food tasting by FoodStreet at the TEMPTationS, Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel. Before to begin, I would like to say that this place is awesome! It had such a contemporary feeling and stylish setting, yet with so striking and colorful decor. I love the way they mixed and match the furnitures, . . . . . just look at those chairs, aren't they beautiful!

Gosh there were so many delicious food served, you can find The Soup Station, The Salad Bar, The Mixed Salads Section, The Noodle Section, The Stir-Fry Section, The Japanese Station, The Western Section, The Malay Section, The Chinese Section, The Noodle Bar, The Chocolat Fountain and The Dessert Station. Wow! this is incredible!

Now let see, my first stop was the Indian Station. there were few delicious offerings which I dived myself into, may sound silly but it was really true, lovely the Tandoori Prawns, delicious Milgiri Khorma(Chicken and Spinach), Mixed Vegetable Kurma, Mysore Dhall Curry served with either White Rice, Nasi Berempah or Naan Bread. This section was truely a winner!

Gosh, I would give a big shout! I was deeply fallen in love with the station next to me, The Seafood on Ice. I could had walked away but I choose to stay and stand next to it chatting up with gorgeous Ms. Yabbies, awesomely sexy Ms. Oyster, full of flavour Mr. Tiger Prawn and yummy Mr. NZ Mussel, I was so metrosexual! It was fantastic, so indulged to have them and worth every second.

Oh my God, The Dessert Station was so incredible delicious, there were such an awesome varieties of sugary delight such as orange creme caramel, nargarita cake, caramalita, pistachiosa almond cake slice, apple vol-au-vent, pear charlotte, cheesecake, english trifle, mango panna cotta and many more. The dessert was such a heaven and total wallop a lot! lol!

An ENTRANZE into A Real Japanese Fusion

We were back again at Entranze for a full lunch, this time we make sure we ordered our food from their menu so that we were able to taste those spoke about dishes.

The first thing I ordered was their Grilled Salmon Fish Head with Teriyaki Sauce. I loved this particular part of the fish especially those, Salmon and Garupa. The Salmon fish head served was awesome, no fishy smell, and yet the texture of the meat was firm and went well to my liking. The grilling was perfectly done and sure able to taste the present of sake and black pepper, so well marinated. While pricking into the fish with the pair of chopstick and dipping it into the terriyaki was such an awesome experience, it just melted in my mouth with the unique taste of the terriyaki.

Next came this dish called Gyu Shoga Yaki (Pan Fried Beef with ginger sauce with japanese onions). The beef was thinly sliced and stir fried. The taste was good, simple and with an influence of Chinese.

We also had pan fried chicken with chef's special made sauce. It was gorgeous but I got to say I was so into their side salad as it was very awesome delicious.

Yet another well prepared yasai tempura (vegetable tempura). The vegetables were deep fried till crispy and sure had won my heart, we just can't get enought of it.

Gosh I spotted this . . . yuzu liqueur, it was awesome, low in alcohol but the taste of yuzu was not as strong as I would prefer but still taste fantastic.

These homemade ice creams were a real knocked out, they were such a babe, there were Ms Kurogoma(black sesame), Ms Shirogoma(white sesame), Ms Matcha(greentea) and Ms Wasabi. They tasted soft, creamy, less sweet and something I would love to take home.

Wow! We get the chance to meet up and chit chat with the Chef himself who had prepared our lunch, it was an honour, thank you Chef Tony Wee of Entranze.

This is a place I will be back for more!

A Fusion Chic, Newbie in Town

On the 7th of June, it was the Opening of Entranze which offered a range of japanese fusion cuisine located at Sunway Damansara, Kota Damansara. The shop front looked very modern and slick which really had caught my attention.

Red ribbons and scissors were readily for the cutting ceremony. It was a closed affair where relatives and friends were invited . . . so were we. The interior was simple but very modern and comfortable.

This Chuka Lidako(Baby Octopus) looked so deliciously red. I was so attracted to it that I wanted to use my fingers to have a piece!

Then next to it was this Chuka Kuraage(Seasoned Jelly Fish) which was awesomely good.

Not far was Chuka Hotate(Seasoned Sliced Scallops) which was well prepared ready to be eaten.

Potato Salad looked impressive too. I love the bright yellow colours and looked so refreshingly good.

Well I got to say I find this dish with a very funny name, Dancing Prawn, Looked cool tho!

Deep Fried Seafood Tofu was on the menu too, fried till golden brown and top with some cream.

Abuc Boza Teriyaki(Pan Fried Battle Fish with Terriyaki Sauce) was well arranged on the serving platter.

Tori Karaage looked good too.

Garlic Fried Rice, was fragrant too!

At the end of the serving table, there were a variety of cut fruits readily to be eaten. I got to say this place is a new and trendy place at Kota Damansara and worth to explore.

Dine with Pleasure

This restaurant CUBES, caught my eyes when I was at Palm Square Jaya One, Petaling Jaya when I was meeting some of my friends over a late night coffee at one of the Kopitiam there. I also noticed there were a few new eatery places mushrooming at this location so I decided to have at try at this restaurant first, a fusion chinese fine dining.

The setting of this restaurant was very comfortable and atmosphere was very relaxing plus there was also a wine bar, got to say I love my wine too.

I always love braised peanuts in soya sauce as there are soft, nutty and fragrant plus not forgetting my hot shrimp chilly.

Our first order was the crispy aromatic duck served with soft pancakes. Got to confess that I had not eaten such a dish since I came back from Scotalnd which was about nearly 8 years ago. "Oh! boy" It was one of my favourite dishes and I tried to learn how to make it at home but got to say mine was not as compartible with the chefs. The duck was well cooked till it was fragrant when it was deep fried. The meat was moist and not too dried. The meat was shredded and placed onto the pancake before wrapping, together garnished with deliciously "Hoi Sin" sauce and sliced cucumber plus spring onion.

The next tofu dish was authentic awesome. The beancurd tofu itself was infused with cooked greens. The dish was garnished with steamed melon and top with dried scallop and double boiled chicken broth sauce.

The dished appeared infront of us was our roasted spare ribs. This dish was so delicious as it came with two different coated sauces, honey glazed and button mushroom in black peppered sauce. Both were very unique and tasted incredible, a thumbs up to the chef's creativeness and also the well balance taste.

Next we ordered the Portugese Prawns. I was informed that the dish was influenced by the chef's wife who happened to be from Portugal. The prawns were well battered and crispy while the sauce really complimented the dish well.

The last dish that came was a great mixture of stir fried mushrooms. It was delicious and so desirable.

We had a great nite dinning at the CUBES and will defintely be back for . . . crispy aromatic duck, by the way I away wrapped my pduck pancakes with extra hot dried prawn chillies! . . . Sidney
